Kia ora te whānau o Birdwood School

It was wonderful to see our students with beaming smiles as they entered through our gates this morning. We have many wonderful learning experiences planned for this term. Please keep an eye on our calendar on our website. We are also currently upgrading our website so it will be cloud based and easy to access on your phones.

We also have whole school assemblies starting back  this term on Fridays. Our first assembly will be to celebrate our MUMs for Mothers Day. You are all more than welcome to attend any of our assemblies on a Friday at 9.15.

As always we have lots of exciting learning planned for this term. We have study support groups starting this week so look out for more information on our website and skool loop. Last term our administration building  was upgraded – it looks amazing and we are enjoying the modern and light filled space.

Students can enter our school through the hall gate in the morning, this has worked well as many slip into the Breakfast club and have some kai to start their day. The main gate will also be open from 8.15. Parents/caregivers are also welcome back into our school, please ensure you adhere to COVID rules. If just dropping students off to class please feel welcome to do so. If you intend to stay a little longer you are more than welcome to however can you please sign in at the office and if entering a class we would appreciate it if you wore a mask. Keeping our kaiako and tamariki safe is very important to us.

As always we are working hard to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for our tamariki. We look forward to a great term ahead.
